WALT:
WILF:
TIB
Use criteria to evaluate and justify simple design processes and solutions (WATPPS25)
Forces, and the properties of materials, affect the behaviour of objects (ACTDEK011)
- Being able to construct and define the six simple machines.
- Evaluate and justify our design process and solutions.
WILF:
- All of us will collaborate with a partner to create the six simple machines.
- Most of us will identify where simple machines can be found in the real world
- Some of us will explain and identify how the simple machines work.

The Pulley.
Your Task:
Repunzel is sick and tired of letting her hair down.
Not to mention, it leaves her with a splitting headache, as you might imagine.
She has decided to create a pulley. That way those who want to get in can hoist themselves up and leave her hair out of it.
Construct a pulley that can lift a bucket into the tower (back of a chair).
Your bucket should be able to lift a 500g weight into the tower.

The Wheel and Axle
Draft a plan on how you are going to build your machine.
Choose your materials.
Create your own moving wheel and axle.
Document the process with photos.
Upload to your Google slide presentation.

The Screw
Your task:
Construct a screw to act as “cereal mover”.
This will be a child-friendly adaptation of an Archimedes’ screw.
Don't forget to take photos to upload to your google classroom slide show.
